We understand all the concerns some of you may have. We have partnered with CGC to be the official grading company for The Death of Superman 0th Anniversary Special Gold Foil Variant. The entire print run of 000 copies we ordered at DC Comics will be submitted to CGC for grading. The books will be prescreened . and only 00 copies will be encapsulated and numbered / 00 to 00/ 00. The remaining 00 copies will be destroyed by CGC with accompanying video which will be shared by CGC in their future social media post. This will make sure no raw copies of the gold foil variant will be coming out from or sold by Big Time Collectibles. It s also the reason why it s called a CGC Foil Edition. No raw copies for the gold foil will be sold by BTC and only CGC . copies will be sold.
We also understand that the initial mock-up back cover of the gold foil variant was misleading and created a lot of confusions and assumptions. We were merely too excite for all Superman fans and we sincerely apologize for getting everyone riled up about it. The final front and back covers are now revealed.
The silver foil variant will stay true to its original print run of 000 and will be sold as raw copies. CGC option will also be offered as well but will not be limited to 00 and will not have the sequential numbering. Having both foil covers will make sure that Superman fans will have options to buy graded and/or raw copies.
The artwork, foil treatment on the covers and logo placements were all approved by DC Comics and CGC. This is an exclusive by Big Time Collectibles only in partnership with CGC to be the exclusive grading company for our gold foil variant.
