VENGEANCE OF VAMPIRELLA Harris Comics, / -This is the very rare, legitimate ROYAL BLUE variant. nbsp Thought to exist in only 00 in number. nbsp They were reportedly misprints of the nd printing, intended to have a Aqua-Marine foil cover. nbsp They were distributed through Comics Calvacade after Harris sold what is thought to be the entire mis print run of Royal Blue.

Often times, unscrupulous sellers will try to pawn off the more common Aqua-Marine nd print as the Blue or Royal Blue cover. nbsp The last photo shows the difference more common Aqua-Marine nd print is not included with this listing and is shown for illustrative purposes only.

Recently, someone got an absolute STEAL on a . copy sold on here on eBay. nbsp I have personally seen a . sell to another dealer a couple of years back at 00 cash. nbsp These things simply do not show up on the market that often. nbsp I acquired this from a close friend and he looked for the better part of 0 years before purchasing this copy raw and sending it in to CGC a few years back.

I checked the CGC census. nbsp It seems to me, at one point, they used to have this variant delineated on their census. nbsp That does not seem to be the case anymore. nbsp You will note that the label properly identifies as a Second Printing by the indicia. nbsp This matches up with the month/year, as the nd prints were months after the st print. nbsp nbsp

This launched the tradition of the Royal Blue editions of debut Vampirella issues subsequently being manufactured in very low numbers. nbsp nbsp

For a modern comic Vampirella collector, it simply does not get more significant than this. nbsp nbsp
