I used the less expensive shipping services for a while, but had numerous issues with late arrivals and damaged comics even with sturdy cardboard backing. I understand this costs more money for both the buyer and me, as I have to pay Ebay a percentage on shipping costs, and I do not upcharge on shipping to make up the difference. Basically, I eat those fees on my end. All that being said, I understand you will take the shipping costs into consideration when bidding, which will sometimes result in a lower selling price on my items. I am willing to accept that as the safety of my products and their timely arrival to you, my customers, is of greater importance to me than making a couple extra bucks.
