In , a friend of mine came home from summer camp to find that his mother had thrown away his comic book collection. nbsp Determined that it should never happen again,he purchased a steel box where he stored the few books that remained, and every book he would subsequently purchase from fall to late . nbsp The box lay in storage for decades, and my friend recently called me to help him sell them here on ebay. nbsp This ASM is just one of the awesome finds in this virtual early 0 s comics time capsule. nbsp With the exception of the Classics Illustrateds, most of the books are in the VF - NM range.

Basically reasons:

Price, PGX is much cheaper. PGX s turn around time is much faster.

Opinions culled from Google searches suggest that PGX
is actually harder on Silver Age books than other graders. nbsp While
PGX is known for not being experts on detecting
retouching, in this case, as the provenance is known, that isn t
an issue.
